COVID is scary

It's been a month now since I have hit a cardio session or lifted a dumbbell, I don't remember since when I have written a blog or read a book. COVID 19 has terrified us all, this second wave in India is filling cemeteries and burning pyre ash has filled the atmosphere and made it so hard to feel nature. Daily sad news of people dying all over the country, new cases being detected and many known people leaving us. Its so hard to digest all this. I literally went into hibernation for about 7 days. Everyone is trying their best to deal with this situation.

Lack of oxygen cylinders, unavailability of beds, ventilators , even cremation sites are full. Remdesivir is being sold out in black, ambulances are charging more than twice their usual rent. Black market is progressing whereas common man is dying. The situation is degrading each moment and all it does is gives goose bumps. I tried cursing the government for not being able to handle the situation, but it didn't decrease the death troll.

Here are some small deeds which we can do in contribution to corona virus fight in our country, also help us maintain our peace of mind.

Share COVID leads as much as you can. The least we can do is sit at home, research the web, use our contacts and find out availability of beds, ventilators , oxygen cylinders in our nearby hospitals and then post it on our social media handles so as to let the information reach out to those in need.

Donate blood, due to corona virus outbreak, blood banks are running short on supply which posses a problem for COVID patients as well as people with other health issues. Donating blood provides inner satisfaction and gratitude feeling also benefits the society.

Make a donation- If you have extra money right now, consider donating to a charity. There’s a good chance many charities in your community are looking for help dealing with coronavirus—food banks, homeless shelters, etc.

Or you might look for a national charity too. Just make sure you do some homework on them so you’re clear on how your money will be used. Don't make a donation to unreliable sources.

Talk to people- COVID is a mass destructor but along with it degrading mental peace is another issue. The least we can do is check on our dear ones, talk to them, make them feel comfortable and share feelings. We are all losing someone or the other but staying together, but not literally together( social distancing is must) is what will help us get through.

Take care of yourself and stay at home. Staying at home and practicing social distancing is how we can create a mass difference in community. Making an effort to stay healthy and avoiding high-risk activities will lower your own chances of contracting the coronavirus. This in turn will keep others from getting sick and overwhelming of the health care system. Sometimes taking care of yourself is the best thing you can do. As the saying goes, put your own mask on before you help someone else, literally and figuratively!

Do things you love doing, this isn't the end of world. Take care of your health. Get vaccinated.

I love you, can't afford losing anyone else

 XOXO :)
