So the trending topic SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT’S suicide, it was
actually heart breaking to her the demise of such a great actor, he was one of
my favourites and i was kind of paralysed after hearing the news but the truth
is he was going through a lot maybe, no one knows the real reason behind his
act. He will always stay in our hearts and loving his acting skills were irresistible.
Now lets move on to the second part of story, right after
Sushant’s RIP story everyone had the picture mentioning I AM HERE FOR YOU, TALK
TO ME, WE GOTTA FIGHT, SPEAK UP. But do we actually want to? I opened my
whatsapp and saw long paragraphs on groups about listening and supporting. First
of all someone who has been under mental pressure and is depressed won’t care
about your formality and if you would have actually been there on the first
place maybe he/she had a better mental health. “you should take care of your
mental peace , having six packs and unfit mind makes no point” one of my friend’s
sentence, bhai koi depression ko khud bulane thodi gya hai , it is very easy to
say I’m here for you but no one actually listens. Try sharing your financial
problem with someone or your devastated relationship story or family issues
that person will frame something even larger than yours and will just say yaar tu toh fir bhi sahi hai and will depart with a smile or maybe mock you or blame you
for not carrying things wisely.
In today’s millennial world most of us are stuck, see a
blurred path ahead and used to over thinking. Most of the times, we think so
hard, feel so much pressure that we actually consider it part of our lifestyle.
Its is not easy to open up I’m saying that it is impossible but surely very
tough because sometimes you don’t know what all feelings and incidents are
giving you such feeling of loneliness and numbness. When depressed you actually
push people away maybe because you don’t want to be with anyone anymore, how is
it possible to share stuff then? If you don’t like sharing your personal life
with people its okay being depressed doesn’t mean you have to open up in front
of people whom you never liked or someone who has never shown initiate and is randomly
interested in your life., when depressed you don’t feel happy or sad you don’t know
exactly what to do, how you feel . How is it even possible to tell people about
your condition when you yourself aren’t sure of it?
The best way I would suggest is to write down all your
feelings, maintain a journal write down about your feelings how so ever puzzled
they maybe YOU ARE STRONG get that.I know when depressed you have no fantasies
left but LIVE maybe to discover some, think of people whom you love, who love
you, your family. Follow your hobbies, set attainable goals reward your
efforts, try meditating. Do not pile yourself up with anti depressants without doctor’s
prescription, challenge negative thoughts. Talk to yourself look in the mirror
share your feelings with yourself, because no one can understand you better
than yourself, it’s you who can bring about real change in your self, all that
people can do is distract you for sometimes but to cope up your stress and
problems you need to put in efforts on your own. Don’t hurt yourself if you
feel that urge contact a professional, a psychiatrist or a counsellor, because
your so called friends, the hypocrites
of this society won’t help but yes i bet they can provide the best ever
formality . I know my friends would be hurt after reading this but I’m sorry
this is what world is.
One more thing i read was something about DON’T FEEL ASHAMED
OF YOURSELF, bhai jab tumne pilot sentence me hi shame laga diya toh insaan
bolne se pehle hi Sharma jaayega. We all have been sharing such stories it is
actually kind of everyone to say that but rather than saying this all maybe if
we support that friend without letting him or her know that you are in
depression we are helping you I’m your psychiatrist for the day would actually
help maybe a bit.
Some more points focused on that group were about instagram
pages. Someone said that where were the pages before who are now sharing
helpline numbers . actually those pages were always there. If someone has ever
tried searching about best possibe ways to commit suicide or how to die on
goggle must be knowing this, you will get a long list of contact numbers and
emails. We just see what is important to us, kabhi dhyaan diya hot oh

something we never bother ourselves with such stuff, there have always been some pages focusing on
mental health, spreading positivity but they rarely attract us because we like
stuff which is in gold and pastel. Talking about really popular meme pages we
cant expect them to focus on mental health all the time because that is not
their job, all they do is pick up the trendiest thing and post. Also the
problem is not just depression there are plenty other neglected topics, lets
talk about LGBT community pride month se pehle koi meme wala share kar rha tha?
George Floyd se pehle was any meme page talking about racism? I believe NO,
because this isn’t their thing they are no one to blame because group me share
toh hum bhi meme hi krte hai. It is easy to blame but hard to introspect.
I was planning from long to write on this topic but couldn’t
post it and it hurts to post on the day of demise of one of the bollywood
stars. Sushant even your leaving away gave a message.
A much needed content and a great approach. After all every small effort towards a change counts. I really liked the part where you mentioned the small things we can do to help ourselves. 👏👏
